Most thermal protection offers a reflective heat barrier to help reflect away heat. Whilst other options, like turbo beanies, offer heat insulation to stop heating up your engine bay, providing lower intake temperatures. In 2011, Funk Motorsport ventured into heat management after engineering within European Motorsport, on various GT and highlighted that there were no British retailers that offered heat wrap or heat insulation sleeves for high performance braided lines.
