Here at Funk Motorsport, we are known for our industry leading turbo blankets! Improve performance, protection and reliability with our durable Funk Motorsport Xona Rotor 5757s Turbo blanket.
Withstands temperatures of up to 1300 degrees C while offering temperature reductions of up to 90%.
Please note: Heat blankets will smoke on initial heat cycles. This is normal. Smoke will disappear after initial heat cycles. Please ensure you read the turbo blanket product guide provided before application.
Turbo Blankets are designed to reduce excess heat within your engine bay. This heat will typically increase your air intake temperatures and therefore decrease overall performance. A lower engine bay temperature will improve the reliability of electronics and help improve the temperature of fuel, oil and coolant lines. Turbo blankets will also help improve gas flow speed. As we know, hotter gases accelerate faster than cooler gases and by insulating the turbo, the excess heat energy is stored within the gas, helping to accelerate the gas out of the system faster. Although some people believe using a blanket may cause harm to the turbo, this is a untrue and a common myth. The blanket will in fact help shield oil feed lines reducing their internal temperatures allowing the turbo to run more efficiently.
Yes! Here at Funk we carry blankets for a huge majority of turbo makes and models. Unsure of the blanket that you need? Don’t hesitate to get in touch. If you happen to have a very specific turbo that we do not appear to cater for online, we can create custom blankets in house for your application.
Our blankets are available in three finishes. Titanium, Carbon Fibre and our new Inside Out Finish. Although they all look different, they are all just as effective at protecting your turbo. In the case of our Titanium and Carbon Fibre turbo blankets, they share the same 4 layer construction with our signature Funk Motorsport insulation and a different top layer of Carbon or Titanium for aesthetics only. Our Inside Out blanket however, has an entirely different function. With the internal material also mirrored on the outside, our Inside Out blankets are designed to be in direct contact with a heat source on both the inside and outside of the blanket. This is necessary in applications when the turbo itself is positioned close to a manifold or similar where the external face of the blanket will be in direct contact with a heat source. Unsure of which finish best suits your application? Get in touch!
All of our heat blankets feature our Mk3. Industry leading construction for ultimate performance and durability. Made up of 4 unique layers, including our signature Funk Motorsport insulation, our blankets outperform other blankets on the market by reducing temperatures by up to 90% and hugely reducing general temperatures within the engine bay. Having listened to the needs of the market, our blankets have been designed to be removed for routine turbo maintenance which was previously unseen in the turbo blanket market. So if you are looking for the best performing, most durable heat blanket on the market – we’ve got you covered!
